
First steps of 2024 3D resurrection are progressing. Here shown is diagnostic flat sphere sandbox for reconstituting the signature 3D camera controls I had meticulously hand-crafted in December 2022/January 2023 which were inside V6P first-gen build and carried-forward from there to the previous 2024 Tactical Mesoanalyst 3D demo engine, back when it was a D3D11/Delphi app using dynamic memory and the bloated OOP-based Delphi RTL. To finally have 3D in bare-metal zero-alloc D3D12 pure-C client will be the best of both worlds of performance and graphics.
The three most fundamental gestures (scroll-wheel/touchpad zoom to/from cursor point, tilt/swivel around cursor point, and 2-axis lookaround) are reconstituted and working, as is the atmosphere shading.
