Just wondering if the Live sweep will be included on this new version of wsv3

First I maximize the mission statement, then add the eye candy. Radar sweep is absolutely signature. People expect to see it in any broadcast context. For tactical context however I probably will omit anything that is a fake effect. Clean logical separation between broadcast purpose vs tactical purpose has become a cornerstone of this project. If you read my October manifesto, I explain why tactical comes before broadcast. The eye candy will come second but it will happen. There will be separate products - tactical client not to be bloated with broadcast. Always better also to offer the lowest price for users who don't need or want extra eye candy features. One good criticism of first-generation is failure to distinguish between in-field storm chasing and desktop broadcast Meteorologist use. I will finally have a product line able to make both groups happy - but broadcast group has to wait until 2026 after initial release most likely.

I think a good happy medium with this feature in the tactical (non-broadcast) version would be an invisible sweep update effect, instead of having a sweep running continuously, which can get distracting during tactical situations (storm chasing, quick data processing and viewing, etc), when a new radar image/tilt comes in, it does a like a 15-second or 30-second sweep transition effect into the new image.

eliteo This is also connected to "WSV3 NXUltra Polyradial Mosaic" - the signature, flagship radar product I plan to offer with WSV3 Tactical Mesoanalyst, the idea of which I have mentioned but not disclosed. It is wise for me to wait another year to talk about it. It is going to be unprecedented.
